COF Coefficient of Friction
COF, coefficient of friction, also called friction coefficient, is to measure the ease between two surfaces, usually of two materials, when they are sliding against each other. The coefficient of friction is of wide application for material testing. A lower coefficient of friction indicates a smoother material surface with less resistance against the sliding. The coefficient of friction and other parameters of films and sheets are usually tested in dry condition, with the aid of COF tester.
